Counselling
Anne will listen with great compassion and care, acknowledge the issue and agree an understanding of your goals.
She will plot a path towards those goals and support you in your steps along the way, finding tools and developing skills to get you moving confidently towards your goals.
Anne will help you to feel better quickly and to leave each and every session feeling more hopeful. She will help you to feel calmer, more in control of your emotions and will help to rehearse new behaviour.
She will also help you to build your resilence and to avoid going back to your highly aroused ‘problem’ state.
She will not ask you to tell her about your trauma, but we will find a way to separate traumatic memories from the unhelpful emotions attached to them.
She will not ask you to sign up for a fixed number of sessions and will endeavour to minimise the number of visits.
There are many conditions with which she is asked to help but these are some of the most common:
- Addictions – cigarettes, alcohol, recreational drugs, prescription medications, internet porn
- Anxiety – panic attacks, confidence, self-esteem, exam nerves, IBS, performance
- Depression – including post-natal depression, bi-polar disorder
- Post Traumatic Stress

- Behavioural Problems – obsessions, habits, aggression, decisiveness
- Neuro Developmental – ADHD, ADD, ODD, ASD
- Cardio-vascular Issues – hypertension
- Compulsive Disorders – OCD
- Eating Control – obesity, anorexia, bulimia, snacking
- Bereavement and grief
- Pain – muscular, skeletal, central nervous system, childbirth, fibromyalgia, IBS
- Phobias – flight, heights, vomiting, sleep, death, disease, injections and others
- Sexual Issues – erectile dysfunction, vaginismus, trauma and abuse, anorgasmia, orientation
- Skin Conditions – eczema, psoriasis
- Stress – post traumatic stress, work stress, personal stress
- Sleep Issues – insomnia, nightmares, enuresis (bed wetting)
- Children – behaviour, emotional disturbance
